Children’s Books Spring
teacher problems am i wrong about this?
ok so i am in votech for early childhood and we had project to write a children's book so i wrote mine about a little girl that has two mothers the assistant teacher was fine with it i miss the bus the next day which was the friday before spring break and my friend texts me and says the teacher said i couldn't do that idea because it was too diverse i don't understand that at all how can something be too diverse i was pretty pissed about that being a bisexual female those things aren't talked about much and i was thinking of all the things i was going to tell her i was going to curse her out and everything my teacher from regular school said that it is freedom of speech and she cant say anything about it and that got even madder but now that we are back in school i feel like it wouldn't be good to curse her out and everything i was thinking about just confronting her about it i just don't know what to do HELP!
What probably happened was that your assistant teacher was fine with the idea but your teacher decided that they might get angry phone calls or sued so as to avoid scandal your book got squashed. It's regrettable that this happened to you i don't personally feel your pain but i do feel you should have been able to read your book. I can understand your anger and I sympathize but unless you want a lot of media coverage and a pain in the ass I'd let it go..... course if it was me i'd read the book anyway and go right to the media is shit started to fly but that's just me
